Back to school tricks for Kids!

Hey guys so I may have mentioned how slightly OCD I can be about organization. So I wanted to share with you my tricks to getting the kids back on a schedule for school!

If you scroll down below you will see a mon-fri chart. My personal one has an AM, homework, room , PM and the occasional trash days. Each one stands for specific goals I need him to achieve in order to receive a sticker. Oh and by the way that was bought in the $1 section of Target , which I might add is my favorite section!!

Anyways back to this briefly I will go over what these things mean. AM and PM are veryyy similar basically teeth brushed, get up/ or go to bed without being told a million times. Homework is basic , JUST DO it! Room means keep it some sort of tidiness my main issue with my son is keeping his tiny legos off the floor!! And trash is my sons only chore really which on days where he has no HW he an help take out the trash.

Furthermore if you look at the family calendar underneath that you see that all the goals are written on the bottom with there maximum goals for the month and each week we write how many he has earned! This will earn him a prize depending on how close to the goal he has accomplished! 1st Birthday Photo Shoot Ideas

My daughter Kaylee Belle turned one at the end of Aug. and I really wanted to get cute pictures of her to capture her 1st year of life. I have learned my lesson and refuse to waste my money at a studio that just charges up the butt for every little thing! So my husband bought foam board made it into a "1" and I painted it in the birthday colors! It was so easy!!! And it was more customized to match the party! Here are a few of my faves!

Crap Product: Maybellines The Falsies

Ok so I am always on a master mission to find the perfect mascara (which I feel like I already found in my Cover Girl Lashblast) BUT I wanna start buying all the other masceras on the market to do reviews on them to know whats out there!
OK! Back to the review on Maybelline The Falsies volum Express in the colorBlack Drama ! If you couldn't tell by the title I hated it!!! And here are the reasons why:
-the wand is weak and felt flimsy upon application
-the bristles as well felt too weak to nicely coat the lashes properly
-the formula of the product was very thin
-the lashes were clump central!
I seriously felt like I looked like Tammy Faye Barker and if you dont know who she is google her!!
Only thing I did like was the packaging and outside color.
Overall: Certified Crap Product!

Dressing up a plain make up drawer!

Leaving me bored with a glue gun is never a good idea!!!

I took black wired ribbon and made them into bows and purchased leopard print duck tape I bought at Target. First I decided where I wanted to place the duck tape. In this case I placed it on tge handles of each drawer. Next I took the bows I made out of ribbon and hot glued them onto the center of the front if eavh drawer and BOOM all dolled up

I found this beauty at sallys! Seriously this color is to die for! I will absolutly love this color in the summer time when I will be rocking a tan :)

Spinach Chips

I think as a mother I am always trying to find a new healthy snack that will be kid friendly. This is much easier said than done! Believe me I know we are all so busy sometimes during the day and will throw a bag of a processed snack at them to hold them over till dinner. But what I have found is when the kids are eating junk I tend to follow! I am determined to change that so I took the idea of kale chips and made spinach chips!!

You will need:
- fresh spinach leaves
-garlic cloves
-olive oil
-salt

Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and pre heat the oven to 375. While the oven heats up wash your spinach, remove the stems and let them dry a little. Then peel and cut one clove of garlic and place them on the cookie sheet along with the spinach leaves. Drizzle it all with some olive oil and add a dash of salt. Pop it into the oven and let them bake for about 10 mins. Once you take them out let them cool and enjoy!

DIY Damask Frame

I am a little obsessed with Damask print so I spent some time looking for a frame to fit this obsession. Then I realized um I think it will be a lot easier to just make what I am looking for. So I took a frame I already had hanging in my house with my favorite wedding picture and decided to re-invent its look

This is the frame I started with.....and theses are the tools you will need:

-Ribbon of your choice

-scissors

-glue gun

Next you will cut the pieces of ribbon to measure up to the size of frame you have and decide exactly where you would like to place the decor. On another frame I did I only did the sides I did not cover all four sides and it came out beautiful. Next you will place the hot glue on the back of the ribbons and carefully place the ribbon in the desired location

thats it...super simple quick idea to update an frame.
